Salt Lake City Public Transportation

Getting around Salt Lake City has never been easier thanks to a combination of 50-station light rail and 16-station commuter rail, plus extensive bus system, supported by modern websites and convenient smartphone apps.

Here are some of the best resources we’ve found to make getting around easy.

This useful resource from the Utah Transit Authority provides tools that let travelers plan their trip using an interactive map, specific address, near a landmark, or using stop ID numbers.

Greyhound operates a bus system which covers the greater Salt Lake City area. Some of their useful pages include Book a Trip, and Find a Bus Stop.

Or for those who prefer to use ridesharing services, Uber and LYFT both operate throughout the city. For comparison to using cars or public transit, current basic Uber rates are $0.40 initial and $0.14/minute thereafter.
